On Monday, June 30, 2025, the Rocky Mount, NC community welcomed home U.S. Army veteran, Kelsey, during a special Helping a Hero ceremony. The Barnhill Family Foundation was honored to sponsor the home, and we’re deeply grateful to local builders Tony and Trevor Foote for building it with such care.
This moment was made even more meaningful thanks to our Barnhill employees who volunteered their time to help set up the home — a true reflection of our commitment to the community.
To top it all off, celebrity Chef Paula Deen, a big supporter of the organization, welcomed Kelsey home with her ooey gooey butter cake and autographed cookbook!
