Fleet Readiness Center NC Global TransPark Ribbon Cutting

KINSTON, N.C. (Sept. 17, 2026) – A major milestone for eastern North Carolina was celebrated today as the new Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) C-130/HH-60 Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Complex officially opened at the North Carolina Global TransPark. The facility will support maintenance operations for military aircraft while bringing more than 400 skilled jobs to the region.

Barnhill Building Group was proud to help deliver this landmark project through a joint venture with TA Loving Company, working alongside engineer HDR and numerous trade partners. Built to support the maintenance, repair and overhaul of C-130 aircraft and HH-60 helicopters, the complex provides critical infrastructure that strengthens military readiness and supports long-term economic growth in eastern North Carolina.

The ribbon cutting brought together state leaders, military officials and community partners to recognize the significance of the project and the collaboration required to make it a reality. The opening marks another important step in the continued growth of the NC Global TransPark and its role as a hub for aviation, aerospace and defense industries.
