Rolesville High School
Rolesville High School measures 350,000 SF and, during its construction, represented the largest school project ever constructed in Wake County. The school accommodates more than 2,200 students and incorporates design features aimed at personalizing the school experience for students, fostering collaboration and creating small learning communities.
A central media/cafeĢ on each floor of the classroom wing is equally accessible to all classroom pods. This paradigm for food service and media centers is based on connecting students with culturally relevant designs. Enclosed meeting spaces, conference spaces, and workrooms are conveniently located for small group learning, remediation, conferences, and meetings, etc. Each learning community consists of a group of five classrooms where students will spend at least part of the day with the same set of classmates. Wireless access, LCD projectors, and laptops help connect to the global community.
