Barnhill served as Construction Manager at Risk for the new College of The Albemarle Dare County Campus in Manteo, NC. The 36,500-square-foot, two-story academic building was designed to support collaborative learning, workforce development, and student success through flexible classrooms, technology-rich learning environments, meeting spaces, library resources, and specialized instructional areas. The modern campus provides students with an engaging educational experience while expanding access to higher education throughout Dare County.
DETAILS: The 36,500-square-foot campus includes classrooms, collaborative learning spaces, library resources, meeting rooms, technology-enabled instruction, and specialized educational facilities designed to support modern higher education.
SCOPE OF WORK: Barnhill managed construction of the new academic facility, including site development, structural systems, building envelope, interior finishes, MEP systems, landscaping, and campus infrastructure.
SOLUTION: The completed campus provides College of The Albemarle with a flexible, technology-driven learning environment that supports workforce development, academic excellence, and future growth for students across the Outer Banks region.
