UNC Charlotte Academic Complex Renovations

Next Project

The Academic Complex renovation project at UNC-Charlotte included upgrades to the facilities’ mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems. The Complex was comprised of five, two-story buildings that were originally constructed from 1961-1969, and were some of the oldest buildings on campus. These buildings were arranged around a quad with connectors on each of the second-floor halls. The project scope consisted of 106,000 SF of renovations to the existing five buildings over a two-year period. There were new finishes added throughout, the addition of new exterior windows and accessibility upgrades. The campus remained open throughout most of the project construction.
