Wake County Public Safety Center
The John H. Baker Public Safety Center houses the detention center, Emergency Medical Services, Fire and Rescue, City-County Bureau of Investigation and the Sheriff’s Office for Wake County. The facility stands 11-stories tall and is located directly adjacent to the Wake County Justice Center. Renovations to the facility included detention support areas, sallyport, satellite detention kitchen and tie-in to Justice Center on the ground level. Additional renovations included extensive upgrades to existing office spaces, detention holding cells and security systems.
