Autryville Stormwater Improvements
Barnhill Contracting Company completed the Autryville Stormwater Improvements project along Gray Street in Autryville, North Carolina, helping enhance the town’s stormwater infrastructure and improve long-term drainage performance for residents.
The project involved the installation of large storm drainage structures and a reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) system consisting primarily of 48-inch pipe, transitioning to 36-inch and 30-inch pipe toward the downstream end of the alignment. Work also included roadway improvements, restoration and coordination within NCDOT right-of-way.
Located primarily within an established residential neighborhood, the project required careful planning and close coordination with multiple stakeholders, including the Town of Autryville, NCDOT, NCDEQ and the project engineer. Barnhill worked diligently to minimize impacts to residents while maintaining access and delivering a high-quality finished product.
Through collaboration with utility partner Heath Grading & Utilities and the dedicated efforts of Barnhill’s grading and paving crews, the team successfully delivered a critical infrastructure improvement that will serve the community for years to come.
